It's been over a year since my last Gattocast 3000. I guess some of you are wondering what the heck has ben going on. Well, I can answer that for you. Firstly as I have mentioned in some of my video podcasts, life on the road can be difficult and it really does consume all of your time. Many of you may or may not know, that I now am the proud father of a 7 month old baby boy named Gabriel after the arch angel Gabriel. For those of you who don't know this angles place in history, it is said that he will play the trumpet to indicate the end of days, which is why my son will be taking guitar lessons.
As you can imagine the arrival and preparation of my son took much of my time. I was able to squeeze out a few projects but that came a 10 times slower the pace that I normally work. I am acceptant of this fact and aware that for the years to come it will be the same perhaps with a little easing off.
Many things have changed in my life this past year. I am leaving what I consider one of the best, if not the best circus show in the world "Kooza." I have such a great time experiencing this wonderful production and life on the road. I've some some remarkable experiences and met some of the most wonderful people I could ever hope to meet. My wife and I felt that it was to to make a change and move on to the next plateau of a more stable environment to raise our son. There is nothing wrong with a touring environment, it does offer something special that one can not get if he or she grows up in one location. In my experiences, I will be able to convey that which has made me a better person from life on the road and bring these experiences to my son. I myself have been touring my entire life, with that said, one can understand why it's time for something different. I have other projects and goals which will not be obtainable working a twelve hour day and traveling from city to city. Hopefully the stable life will help me realize these goals as well as give my wife an opportunity to realize her own hopes and dreams.
I suspect that I will have more time to write or create some new video Gattocast in the near future. I hope to be able to update my sons progress as well as my own.
